“Matha pahar Purulia” refers to Mathaburu hill and the surrounding area which is known for its wilderness, forests, and rocky mountains, and is also the location of the Mathaburu Forest Range.

It is situated at the Baghmundi area with a vast water body at the foot hills of Chemto and Barra Hills (Ajodhya –range)
