The Murguma Dam in is built on the Saharajhore River, a tributary of the Kangsabati River. The Sunset Viewpoint is a popular spot located near the Murguma Dam offering visitors a serene experience of the setting sun over the surrounding hills and the lake created by the dam.

“Matha pahar Purulia” refers to Mathaburu hill and the surrounding area which is known for its wilderness, forests, and rocky mountains, and is also the location of the Mathaburu Forest Range.
